Second-Layer And Support Materials For Complete Installations

Basic Line is the practical DrARTEX support-material family for building a complete soundproofing system after the first-layer damper is selected.

Rather than damping the metal panel, Basic Line addresses the remaining acoustic and installation needs: absorption, insulation, heat-control, sealing, and finishing support.

Where Basic Line Fits

  • Start with a first-layer damper from Earth, Electra EV, or Rock.
  • Use Basic Line where the build needs absorption, insulation, heat-control, sealing, or finishing support.
  • Select materials by vehicle zone and acoustic goal.
  • Refer to each product page for current technical information and application guidance.

Material Role

Basic Line Completes The System Around The Damper

Basic Line supports the acoustic and installation layers chosen after first-layer damping. Each material family manages a different problem: sound energy within a cavity, sound transmission through a boundary, heat transfer, or local gaps and contact points.

Absorption

Sound Absorbers

Sound absorbers work inside cavities and behind trim. Their porous structure lets airborne sound enter the material, where small friction losses convert part of that energy into negligible heat. This reduces reflections and helps calm sound within the space.

Blocking

Sound Insulators

Sound insulators are barrier layers. They reduce the amount of airborne road, tyre, and exterior noise transmitted through a treated area after panel vibration is controlled. They block the sound path; reflection can occur, but they do not perform the same role as a sound absorber.

Comfort

Heat-Control Materials

Heat-control materials slow heat transfer through the treated area in either direction. They are often used in roof treatments to reduce solar heat entering the cabin and help retain cooler cabin conditions.

Finish

Sealers And Support

Sealers and support materials close gaps, manage local air-leak paths, and help finish trim and contact points. Their role is to support a complete, durable installation after the main acoustic layers are selected.
